Patrick Charles Gilman Obituary
Venice, CA - Patrick Charles Gilman, 62, of Venice, CA, originally from West Haven, CT, battled with cancer surrounded by loved ones for the last year. Patrick had his family with him in person and in spirit when he passed peacefully at his home on February 8, 2026.
Patrick was born to loving parents Janyce and Robert on St. Patrick's Day. He was a beloved brother to Bobby, Stephen, Michael, Susan and Matthew and loving uncle to eight nieces and nephews.
Patrick was a longtime resident of Venice Beach in California. Patrick built a successful career in the film industry and always lent a hand to those in need.
For nearly 25 years, Patrick was a cherished member of production teams in Los Angeles, CA. Directors and producers alike knew him as TRAINWRECK. He was the "friendly" face who greeted every crew member and actor with sincerity and a genuine love for film making.
Beyond the business, Patrick never met a stranger. He loved playing volleyball around town, placing bets on any sort of sporting event and serving as the resident security guard at his home on Ozone Avenue. He volunteered his time in helping others find peace the way that he did and found his greatest joy was simply spending time with his friends. His kindness, humor, tireless work ethic, and unwavering dedication touched countless lives.
Patrick will be deeply missed by his loving family, his West Coast family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
